Roles & Responsibilities
To best prepare for the Town’s future growth, Brookhaven 2030 embraces a collective process that relies on the expertise, knowledge, input and feedback of many:
  • The Town of Brookhaven Community
    • Attend community meetings to provide input and local knowledge
  • Brookhaven Department of Planning, Environment and Land Management
    • Oversee Plan development
    • Coordinate intergovernmental relations
    • Oversee and coordinate with consultant team
    • Facilitate Outreach
  • Brookhaven Comprehensive Planning Committee
    • Develop and adopt plan scope & schedule
    • Provide overview of Town-wide issues
    • Assist in development of public participation process
    • Review draft materials and plan
    • Serve as liaison with Citizens’ Assembly
  • Brookhaven Comprehensive Plan Citizen Assembly
    • Help to mobilize the community to outreach process.
    • Provide input and feedback to members of Steering Committee.
  • Chair Executive Committee
    • Manage Consultant contract and project
    • Communication coordinator and project expediter
    • Liaison between steering committee and consultant
  • The Urbitran Team
    • Perform data collection & analysis
    • Develop & facilitate community outreach process
    • Develop Plan approaches & recommendations
