Overview

Together, the data collection, analysis, and work products developed throughout the previous steps of Phase I will provide the foundation for the final step − the development of Draft Comprehensive Plan 2030. The draft plan will be issued in September 2008.

Open Houses to Present Draft Plan

Immediately following the release of the Draft Plan, several public information meetings will be held to present the recommendations of the Draft Plan.

Following several hours of viewing, a presentation will be made to summarize the conditions, trends, vision, policies and strategies of the Plan. Questions and comments from the public will be recorded and taken into consideration.

These meetings are open to the public and invitations will be sent to key stakeholders including the members of the Citizens’ Assembly and citizens who would like to be contacted.

Plan Review

Throughout July and August, the Steering Committee will meet with the consultants to review the Plan and make recommendations for revisions, if necessary. These meetings will be open to the public, with a public comment period at the end of each meeting.

Deliverables

The following documents will be produced based on the results of the Community Development component of Phase I.
